Unclean, unclean

My poor little tomato plants have blight. My potatoes succumbed some time ago (though the actual tubers seem OK so far touch wood). Blight loves it warm and wet so I don’t expect to be the only one hit (expect chip prices to rise this autumn). My cucumbers are starting to show signs of powdery mildew, which scuppered my courgette crop last summer (it likes it hot and dry: we’ve had no rain for a mammoth 4 days).

Tomorrow I must go to the allotment and find something undiseased to cheer myself up.

My outdoor tomatoes look like they’ve been put through a whites wash. Is not pretty. However, despite such trials, the tomatoes themselves don’t look too bad; it’s mainly the planty leafy bits which have suffered.

    Arse.

My tomatoes failed this year. I have no idea why. My courgetes were going great guns and we had couregettes with nearly every meal, until I went on holiday with no thought for their water supply. Needless to say, they died :o(

I think our toms have blight now – serves me right for being so smug on Tuesday :(.

Mine are green – in fact I’m quite amazed there is anything resembling a tomato on my plants at all….. If they don’t go red, I’ll be making chutney!!
