However, we were invited to our next door neighbour's party at the last minute - they'd not seen us for ages, so hadn't been able to ask us earlier. Each family was providing 10 quiz questions, so we had an hour to rustle up some questions on the theme of science and nature. The other rounds were - adverts picture round, general knowledge, music, film & TV, history & geography, sport. There were 4 teams and we each had a Joker to play on the round of our choice. We teamed up with another family and we won! Next door's visitors from Edinburgh had brought a lovely prize, so we had to decide how to split a hamper between the 2 families. Luckily, the alcohol didn't hamper our negotiating skills, so each family was happy with the resultant split. We retired to bed at 2am (thinking originally we'd be going about 10.30!), tired happy and gorged out on champagne and a mega buffet!
