House hunting, sight seeing

Dragged our *slightly*-less-jetlagged selves out of bed this morning in order to be picked up at 930 for house hunting. Viewed three or four houses in various states of repair, decided the first one was best, decided not to muck about, asked the agent to see if she can get that for us. Job done.

From there, to a random shopping centre for lunch – we bypassed ‘awfully chocolate’, although some of us were tempted, in favour of sandwiches at the ‘urban soup kitchen’. Cameron bumped into somebody he knew – doesn’t he always.

The agent then decided to show us about a bit. We went to the fabric market and then to a lovely area of tiny shops, called Tianzifang. Lots of interesting things to look at, and mango juice to drink.

Then a quick walk through Xintiandi (more shops; restaurants) then back home for a ‘how to tie a tie’ masterclass ready for school uniform tomorrow.

The rabbit goes round the tree and then comes out of his hole …
